Greetings NYC,
We have a huge weekend coming up and I can't wait to tell you all about it, but first I would like to begin with a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the Bootie NYC mashup bootleg party at Santos Party House this past Saturday. It was our first time back in Manhattan after being in BK for over a year and we simply killed it.  It was so great to see the line down the street and a packed party the entire night with yours truly working the door.  Stay tuned for information on our next Bootie party and check out the photos from Saturday from Nicky Digital, Coach Mike & The Village Voice

This week we have Disco Down's "Quantum of Solace" which is the sequel to last week's "Casino Royale” party. Our very own Amylulita will be guest DJing at The Wolf Party tonight as well as hosting the Camarena Tequila Taco Truck launch party on Wednesday.  Saint & Sinner, Props, Peaches MC and DJ set at Girls & Boys, the return of Disco Vibes with DJ Rok One + a live performance by the Wolf Party's Monikkr, who will be DJing/performing a live fusion of electro & rock onstage at TRASH!

This Sunday is a huge day for parties as it is Memorial Day weekend.  We have another Oh You Pretty Things "The New Romantics", presented by Michael T, Ben Ickies, Twig the Wonderkid and Shien Lee from Dances of Vice. Also, I'm very excited to tell you about the SHAW sponsored 4th Annual NYC Zombie Crawl in Williamsburg, Brooklyn,  spear headed by an old friend Doug Sakmann of Backseat Conceptions.  I always love a good flash mob, especially when it is of the undead. This event will begin at Knitting Factory BK at 4PM with crawls down Bedford Ave and zombie activities at McCarren Park, ending at Public Assembly with Ghoul's Night Out (all-girl Misfits tribute band), blood wrestling, zombie burlesque and Strip of Pain at midnight. And lastly on Sunday, we have something special for all of you cultured (and not yet cultured) persons, Passport to Taiwan 2011 festival at Union Square Park hosted by me, Andy SHAW!  As I often would say in my bios ; “Made in Taiwan, Raised in NYC…” I have always been very proud to be a Taiwanese American and it is to great honor for me to be invited to market and MC Passport 2 Taiwan, as I’m sure my mother will be proud. I will be co - hosting with a good friend Alyson Schill who I met on my latest visit to Taiwan for the Spring Scream festival. New York City has always been the largest melting pot for all cultures and on May 29th, the people of Taiwan are inviting you to come explore our culture, music, art and food (that’s the best part)! I am very excited to MC this event and I hope you can all make it.
