Hello New York, I hope you are all enjoying the weather and prepared for our first heat wave coming tomorrow, it's going to be a hot and sticky one. I was planning on taking the SHAW crew to the beach tomorrow, but unfortunately we have to sit tight for a technician to come fix our internet which had been out for days. I don't even need to get into detail on how animalistic it has been without internet here, but the SHAW must go on and here we present you this week's events + ticket giveaway!

54/10 MUSIC MARATHON ticket giveaway

We are very happy to be working with Ars Nova once again this year with their 54/10 Music Marathon and we have some tickets to give away for this to our readers. This week we have some very special performances including a rare intimate club appearance by Peter Murphy at the Small Beast party at The Delancey, Girls & Boys with Nosaj Thing, Free the Robots and Hellfire Machina upstairs at Webster Hall, and downstairs at The Trash! party we have a special cabaret performance from Berlin's own Julietta La Doll . We also have a special "Prom Night" at The Skinny presented by H&L with Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum open bar from 10-11PM. Disco Down, Saint & Sinner, NC17, Kellesimone Waits (daughter of Tom Waits) “What’s Your Power Animal” art opening at Fuse Gallery and so much more. Please note that we have a * next to all the events with open bar to ensure cheap lubrication and all our events are either FREE or just an RSVP away.

This Friday is also the CD release party for the Notorious MSG whom I saw recently at the Passport to Taiwan festival and they are one of the most fun bands I've seen in a long time.  My friends Hsu-Nami are opening, so you can bet I will be at this kick as showcase!

Lastly, we would like to give a big shout out to our friend Deryck Todd who is releasing his first fashion line and website, "Fashion presentation & www.derycktodd.com launch party" hosted by House of Field. We have worked with many of Deryck's legendary Bowie Ball parties and are very happy to see this exiting new direction for him.  The SHAW team will definitely be present at this event and I hope to see some friends there.
