Hello New York City and happy holidays to you all! As I'm sure most of you will be fighting the travel crowds trying to get out of NYC this weekend, we at SHAW are embracing the deserted city this holiday brings and are ready to party. If you are with us on this one, we have a bunch of really fun events to attend that will make you forget about eating fruit cake with your Aunt Flo and having to listen to your Uncle Tom ramble about his boat trip to Montana. Don't forget to at least call your folks and tell them you love them, ok? It is the holidays after all.

I want to jump start this newsletter with one of our very own parties (how selfish!) that is happening X-Mas Eve. JaiDee Valentine has a ridiculous amount of holiday spirit this year and has turned Crown Victoria Bar into a festive overload with her one off party, "Let 'em Blink!", hosted by yours truly, Andy Shaw. Also on board is our good friend Alex English who will be DJing this jubilee night along with a very naughty (or nice!) photo booth by Jess Star of Shooting Star Pro. Think blinking lights, holiday candy, super cheap drink specials, and enough dance music to shake the 2011 weight off your ass. Also, because we are such do-gooders, we have set up a donation box for the New York Cares Coat Drive , so be sure to bring an extra gently used coat for someone in need.

Another very notable mention: after attending The Electric Room at the Dream Hotel last Tuesday, we had so much fun we decided to help our friend Justine D push this already hard to get into night. Lucky us, this week (tonight!) isThe Rapture's holiday party!! We don't have a list for this, no one does, so if you want to attend, YOU MUST GET THERE EARLY! The party tonight is free, but a first come, first serve basis, so we can only pass along the good word, but we absolutely cannot get you in, so please no RSVP emails for this. It will be so fun and you will get in if you get there early; this is a must on our list for this week.

Getting back to the spirit of the season, we also have the opening of the Nutcracker: Rated R version which has returned for it's 6th season at Le Poisson Rouge.  There are only 4 shows total for this naughty rendition of the Nutcracker, so get your tickets now at tix.nutcrackerratedr.com before it's sold out!
