Hello New York City,

Andy Shaw is out of the office and officially serving his country right now (jury duty). While most citizens dread the thought of having to sit in a courtroom all day, I think Andy is embracing it, really getting into the case making some tough decisions . Well, we'll see how he feels about the law system after his first day is completed. That leaves you all in the good hands of myself, JaiDee, and Mister Stephan Pandolfi, and we have no problem scrutinizing the common public, under the law or not, so attend the events below or be judged!

Speaking of Andy, did you know he was in a band? Well he's actually in two, but one of his bands, Bikini Carwash, is playing two shows this week: 2nd Annual Hello, Taiwan Rocks! and also at Union Hall in Parkslope with one of my FAVORITE bands, .357 Lover . If you haven't experienced "the Cornmo", then I highly recommend you find yourself over to this show. Think Queen playing a sideshow at the circus and that's probably accurate as to what to expect from a .357 Lover performance.

I'd also like to talk briefly about Celebrate Nouveau Day, which benefits City Meals on Wheels (because we are such damn do-gooders). They've teamed up with Georges Dubceuf who will be unveiling their 2011 Beaujolais Nouveau for you to taste while you check out the exhibit of the “Be Heard” art contest winners, featuring Mr. Kave. There will be complimentary food and DJ's too, so there really is no excuse not to go -- unless, of course, you hate old people, wine, and art, in which I will send Andy over to judge you.

That's it for this week. Don't forget to check out all of the other fun stuff we have going on this week such as Nicky Digital's super late anniversary party for East Side Social Club proving to us it's never too late to celebrate, Props at The Gallery at LPR, The Skinny Bar & Lounge events, Boys Noize at Webster Hall (awesome!), Disco Down at Happy Endings, Deadly Dragon Sound at Happy Endings, and Trash! has DingyDisco.com hosting this week.

Thanks for sticking by and reading, and I hope for your sake and mine that Andy will put the bad guy behind bars so he can join us for next week's newsletter.

XO
JaiDee Valentine and Stephen Pandolfi
