Andy is currently out of town on tour in the South with the Dirty Spiders, so Stephen and I are hijacking this weeks' SHAW PROMOTION newsletter, bringing you the best of what's going down in NYC for your upcoming holiday week.

We are going to make it short and sweet for you because we know you are probably reading this in between meetings you couldn't care less about, waiting for your booze and grill filled three day weekend to start. Before we get to all of the good stuff happening, I want to give a personal recommendation to two different events we are doing, both which I will personally be attending. For the past two weeks, we have been collecting tons of RSVPs for the Harley Davidson® Boot Camp which is at the HD Queens headquarters in Long Island City. If you have ever thought about riding a motorcycle, or you have friends who bug you to learn how to ride on your bike, send them over to this event this Thursday. It's a 2.5 hour "boot camp" which you will learn Harley Davidson culture, how to ride a motorcycle (I hear they will have a "dyno" bike to practice changing gears on), and receive free dinner, booze, and stogies. It's 100% free too, all you have to do is RSVP to attend. Men are preferred, however ladies who really interested in learning to ride are encouraged to attend.   I also want to give a personal shout to Dana Dynamite and the rest of the Sailor Jerry crew, as they are pulling together a super special show tonight at Brooklyn Bowl staring Mariachi el Bronx. This event is also free, but you do need to RSVP asap as I'm sure the list will close soon; hope to see you there tonight!

One more thing before we get to the rest of the events. SHAW PROMOTION is currently looking for interns for this summer. We require someone who can dedicate a few hours every week to learn the ways of running a business, marketing, and lots of fun digital stuff.  Must be organized, well spoken, know Word Press, social media sites, basic html, Photoshop/Illustrator, and knowledge of AWeber is a big plus. In return we can provide you with college credit and access to tons of shows, events, and venues.
