Hate is too great a burden to bear." - Martin Luther King Jr. Hope you had a good holiday weekend, we are still recovering from DJ Jess's "Sextacular" birthday party, and as it goes, the birthday month continues with NYC's infamous Michael T birthday bash week. With my busy SHAW Promotion work schedule, I very rarely get to host events these days, but I can never deny "Mother" T on his birthday.  Yours truly will be at White Noise this Friday celebrating Michael T's birthday along with bunch of old school NYC nightlife friends.  There will be an open bar provided by our friends at Zygo Vodka and Samuel Valentine on the DJ booth, plus I have my own bottle for you to indulge in.  Come on out friends, it's been awhile since I hosted an event and White Noise is a great party; I would love to see everyone there!

I would also like to tell you about a grand opening party for Williamsburg's newest bar (yes, we need another one!), GRAND VICTORY, on Thursday. My band, Bikini Carwash, was originally scheduled to open the show, however we had to cancel due to a family emergency, but the SHAW must go on! This will be a great rock and roll party with The Threads and Born Loose, plus great DJs including previously mentioned birthday boy, Michael T.  SHAW Promotion crew will still be there rocking out and showing support for our beloved community, and you should too. Did I mention it's free?

As usual, have our favorite weekly parties at Happy Ending Lounge, The Skinny, The Bromance Tour at Girls & Boys party at Webster Hall along with Trash! which has a special DJ set by Atrasolis, Spanky, plus Nina's "Drawings and Sculpture" opening reception presented by Fuse Gallery.  Also, stepping up to the plate in the scene, we have a new monthly party called Hot Mess at TenEleven this Saturday which is great because they DJ's spin punk rock and the bar is a great dive find.

Lastly, I'd like to mention that we have recently start working with Harley Davidson of NYC doing outdoor street marking (be on the look out!) and they will have a booth at the International Motorcycle Show in NYC at Javit Center this weekend. Every year I look forward to going and checking out what's new (and old!) in the world of motorcycles.  They always have it in January which, as a biker, boggles my mind because it's too cold to ride; let's hope the weather stays decent so I can take my Triumph!

Before I sign off for this week, I would like to wish my peeps a VERY HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR, year of dragon.  I am, in fact, Chinese and hope to spend this time with my family eating lots spicy foods. Good luck and good fortune, I hope this year brings great things to everyone.
