The 9th annual New York Burlesque festival is upon us and we have a pair of tickets to give away for this Thursday and Friday night. There will be hot, almost naked dancers from all different parts of the country for your viewing pleasure at this festival. Also this week we have the opening reception of “Will of the Way” by Mat O’Brien and Josh Sachs presented by Fuse Gallery, Datsik + Tittsworth at Girls & Boys, Cheeky Bastard Saturdays at Yotel with Treasure Fingers and Dominique Keegan, All Tomorrow's Parties curated by Portishead & ATP, and a birthday celebration at Trash! for our very good friend Twig the Wonderkid with a surprise performance done by Twig himself. This should be really, really interesting!

On a last note, tonight is the 7th Annual Paper Magazine Nightlife Awards. After winning the "Best Promoter" award 2 years in a row and also being a presenter last year, this year we are going to be attending as guests. It's always a mystery to me how the nominees are chosen for the awards and it makes me wonder what I have to do to be nominated again; this year has been one of our best and busiest! At least many of the "Best Promoter" nominees this year are SHAW clients we have worked with in the past, so really, we are already winners.
