hallenges are funny things. Earlier this week I wrote about creating a legacy and what it entails and how it takes an effort, a purposeful effort, to leave behind the legacy that you feel will be something of value and worthy of others' mentioning.

The truth about legacies is that they require you to stand up, to speak out when it is necessary, to go against the crowd at times and, as we all know, this is not easy.

But what makes it easier, what makes it possible for restful nights of sleep, is when you know you are without question standing up for what you know to be true and just.

The challenging part lies in standing in your strength, in standing in understanding that you've done the research, you've done the evaluation of both sides and therefore, you know you are on the side that when you look back, you will be thankful and grateful for the decision that was made.

Life is full of challenges, and it seems challenges never seem to end. Right now it feels as though the world is up against a lot of difficult obstacles, however, the world and the life we want to live requires people who are strong enough to respectfully stand up and take on the challenge. The strength to do so will require knowledge and discussion with those who are respected in the area you are involved, and it will also require a quiet self-confidence as well.  Each of us has the potential, why not tap into it?

With a very busy week behind me, I am very thankful for everything that has happened. As you can see, The Simply Luxurious Life has undergone a face-lift as a way of organizing the regular weekly posts in such a way that will hopefully allow this blog to be a constant resource that you can depend on for inspiration, style and decor ideas, recipes and much more. It was also my intention to simplify the look and hopefully make it easier on the eyes.  One addition I have added is a recommendations page which contains lists of places I enjoy and regularly visit. I am very thankful for the creative talents of Inslee by Inslee by Design for my new logo of the simply luxurious woman and for Shari of Little Blue Deer Custom Blog Design for pulling everything together in a way that I couldn't be more pleased with. Thank you to all that have already stopped by to visit the new design and for saying hello.  Your support is something I very much appreciate.

Well, for many Spring Break is either wrapping up or about to begin and either way, spring will officially be here in a few days.  Can you believe it?  I am enjoying seeing the daffodils introduce themselves and the snow turn to rain, and more than anything I am ready to enjoy a restful weekend.  , I hope you too are looking ahead to a leisurely and tranquil few days. Thank you as always for visiting and being a part of the simply luxurious experience.   Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.

Weekend Reading

Parisian Chic is released until April 5th, but it is worth pre-ordering as I've had an opportunity to review it (review will be posted on April 4th), but I couldn't help share it with you. Easy to read, specific tips on how to dress with style, but look effortlessly fabulous, as well as Ines' handed picked favorite shops, restaurants, hotels and places to visit in Paris.  This book will be in my tote the next time I visit the City of Light. (And her model of choice to demonstrate the looks she suggests is her daughter who is striking and a true doppledanger - see here.
