ometimes it's easier to be the spectator.  Sometimes it seems it is better to sit and wait. Sometimes we tell ourselves that we are just laying low until . . .  But really, what are you waiting for?

Recently, I came upon some news that prompted me to ask myself just this question - what was I waiting for? And secondly, why was I waiting at all?

Life truly does favor those who approach it with appreciation, not taking for granted that it will be here tomorrow.  Whether it is to enroll in that dance class you've been hesitant to take, or stand up for yourself the next time someone makes a joke at your expense, or maybe start making small steps toward a tremendous goal, start now. Start today. By making the effort now, you are already one step closer than you were a minute ago.

I must confess, the planner in me loves to put my entire dream life on paper and then list in detail the steps that will be necessary to create it, and while I highly suggest this process, it is the next step of putting it into action that can become intimidating.

Maybe you feel that now is not the perfect time to take that risk or try something new, but ask yourself honestly, when will it ever be perfect?  Make the most of today and who knows what opportunities you will create, people you will meet or memories you will catalog when you step out of your comfort zone just a bit more.

On that note, Monday's Inspirational post focused on just this concept - One Small Adjustment Away From Contentment and many readers found it to state a truth that if considered and followed might just provide you with the umpff you need to garner up your courage and step out just a bit more.

Speaking of striving for a life of your dreams, so much of one's confidence begins when deciding upon what to wear each day (check out this week's Tuesday's Rooms of Inspiration where creating a simple, yet luxurious closet will help provide the safe haven for your wardrobe). So why not . . . create your own signature style that strengthens the amazing woman you already are and projects it to the rest of the world?

, I hope this week has treated you well, and while there may have been times that caused you to shake your head, I hope you took the higher ground, set an example and gave yourself the gift of a peaceful night's sleep knowing that you handled it in the best way you knew how.  Week's tend to have personalities all of their own sometimes, don't they?  And hopefully this week's mood is now getting very happy.  Thank you so much for subscribing to The Simply Luxurious Life newsletter, and until next week, I'll see you on the blog.

 This Week's

Style Suggestion

Inspired by this week's Rules of Style star - Charlize Theron, I pulled together a stylish, yet casually comfortable wardrobe for flying the friendly skies.  With just a pop of color and everything else remaining neutral, a girl is sure to attract just the right amount of attention.
