The power of presentation is an amazing tool we can all use. What do I mean by presentation? Well, in this particular case, how we dress and carry ourselves throughout our day.

The combination of how we appear sartorially with how we carry and present ourselves behaviorally can have very positive results when we realize we have absolute control over these two aspects in our lives. First impressions do exist, and as long as we follow it up with expertise, a sound mind and thoughtfulness, we are certain to help ourselves head in a positive and promising direction.

As a way to help share ideas on how to create chic and stylish outfits by combining with what we already have in our closets along with one or two perfectly chosen items to complete a look, I'm welcoming to the list of regular weekly posts Want & Have Outfit which will chronicle pieces I have in my closet that I love, paired with other items I have discovered and believe would pair very nicely with what I already have. Appearing on Thursdays along with Style Inspiration, stop by weekly and prepare to rebuild your closet into one that will be able to adorn you for any occasion in your signature style.

It was back to school for me this week, so I've been gradually getting used to the new routine after a lovely summer of flexibility. While the posts weren't as fruitful, there certainly were some favorites amongst the readers this week. Monday's Inspirational post "11 Ways to Live More Mindfully" was shared frequently on Twitter, and I want to thank you all who shared with your friends and/or followers. Wednesday's Why Not . . .? post as well garnered fantastic comments of how you too have made those last 10 pounds fall off as I shared what has worked for me.

For those of you who have emailed me this week with Ask Shannon questions, rest assured, I will be sitting down on Saturday. So look for a response in your inbox soon. Thank you so much for your patience. You have all provided wonderful thought provoking questions that I've been mulling over these past few days.

I don't know about you, but as fall arrives this weekend, I'm looking forward to finding excuses to wear more sweaters, have fun with more scarves and find a reasons to slip into my favorite boots and booties again. The leaves are already beginning to turn, and evenings hold a hint of chill to them that beckons us to enjoy the daylight we are given, and then feel no guilt for cozying up indoors. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and until next week, I'll see you on the blog.

-Shannon
