During this past week I have had the opportunity to escape to the country, relax on a swing perfectly centered in the middle of a gloriously growing garden, take naps in the afternoon, indulge in sweet chocolate truffles and gaze at the lovely couture fashions revealed in Paris this week as I tapped away on my computer during my indulgently late morning work hours.

Summer indeed has a way of lightening the mind, loosening the confinements often found in other seasons and brightening our hopes for whatever it is we might be wishing to come true.

It is just over six months since the beginning of the year when many of us sat down and diligently wrote out resolutions that we wished would become our reality by year's end. May I ask how you are doing? Since we are in the season of more leisure, if you haven't  yet checked in with your progress, why not find time to assess your resolutions and evaluate how things are going.

Life has a way of quickly passing, but what is utterly amazing is that the accumulation of those small steps do add up if we diligent make the effort to change, and even if you are not where you'd like to be just yet, you still have six months. Six months to make something amazing occur.

A popular post from a few months ago focuses on the impressive power of opening up to change because without change we cannot grow, but when we choose to welcome growth, our lives can be come amazing works of art.

In terms of fashion, this first week in July is always one I thoroughly enjoy, as I get to become inundated with images of beauty from one of the most beautiful cities I most adore - Paris Fall Couture week. With only a handful of privileged designers participating in the grand tradition, three particular collections stood out in my eyes as having truly simply luxurious creations - Dior, Chanel and Elie Saab. Have a look and let your eyes feast upon the delicious designs.

Monday's Motivational post is something that I have been wanting to discuss on the blog, and I thoroughly enjoyed the comments and emails readers offered in response.  I'll be curious to hear your thoughts as well.

If you are planning for an upcoming trip, Tiffani Rogers of Style by Tiffani asked that I share a post on simply luxurious travel tips - be sure to stop by and have a look. After all, travel should be enjoyable and comfortable, and it is my hope that these tips may help.

As July is in full gear, I hope you are finding your grove - maintaining certain routines that bring peace of mind, but able to tweak and relax in those moments that are special to the warmer days. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
