ife can genuinely be astounding. Throughout the journey of life lessons are constantly being tossed at us and the same ones will keep appearing until its clear the student has absorbed the objective.

In this week's Why Not . . .? one of the points focused on the idea of standing in the mindset of abundance rather than scarcity, and while the context was creating a social circle, it's a lesson to be applied in every aspect of each of our lives.

By embarking on any new venture or introduction to new people, disciplining ourselves to stand confidently in the knowledge that we are enough puts us in a position of attracting wealth.  This wealth may come in the form of actual money, but more often by way of healthy relationships, respect and a promising outlook.

Choosing to view our lives as already abundant no matter what the reality is requires each of us to pause, take a step back and allow the people we are being introduced to and the situations we are seeing for the first time reveal themselves to us instead of  proving to them that we should be there. Again, this is where maintaining mystery enters and the interest of the other party is piqued because we've chosen not to behave in a desperate manner, but instead to act as we would like to be treated - with the respect and genuine interest we deserve.

Recently, a few instances in my life have given me the opportunity to demonstrate that I have indeed learned this particular lesson, and let me just attest to the credence of this approach.  By standing back and letting the other party show themselves to me, I then am able to make a better decision on how to move forward in a way that allows me to remain comfortable and continue to hold their curiosity and/or respect.  Yes, this approach takes patience, but view it as an investment on beautiful things to come down the road.

This week on the blog has blown me away. The response I received upon finally "introducing" myself to you, my readers, was beyond what I ever imagined.  Your words of support and willingness to stop by and introduce yourselves as well is something that meant a lot. Putting myself in front of the camera was nerve racking, but based on how it was received, I'm happy I took the risk. Thank you again for what you have brought to my life.

As Fashion Week in New York City begins this week and the unofficial start to fall begins, one of my readers sent me an email that prompted Wednesday's Why Not . . . Create a Healthy Social Circle? and what better way to begin the new season with an approach that will help you find the balance in your social life that is uplifting rather than draining? Click here to view specific ways to build (or simply tweak) your social circle so that it adds to the quality of your life.

I hope this first full week in September finds you well and inspired to start the new season with a jump in your get-along and a hum of a fabulous tune in your head.  Ultimately everything comes down to the attitude we bring to each experience we are part of. So why not look for the positive and when that's a bit difficult, look for the lesson and choose to take it in so that you can move on to the next magical new part of your life? Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
