lamour. How does one achieve it? First, it begins with confidence. Possessing and attitude that, yes, you can pull it off, and then having the gumption to add that beautiful cocktail ring while wearing your favorite red dress, or slipping on sensually chic lingerie even though nobody else may ever know it's there.

Glamorous is a way of living that sets you apart, yet causes others to admire. It is not excessive, it is simply just enough and the fact that it is worn by someone who doesn't take herself too seriously, makes her all the more attractive.

With holiday events just around the corner and an opportunity to shop this weekend, I couldn't help but dream about how to pull off the glamorous looks like the one to the right from Oscar de la Renta, or similar to that of Kate Winslet. It doesn't take gobs of clothes and jewelry, it only requires quality pieces and perfectly chosen accesssories worn by a woman who is confident in her own skin and respects herself enough to create an air of mystery.

I don't know about you, but I am constantly reminded that by gradually letting people get to know me and always keeping something to myself, I find that I am much more grounded, less uncertain and better able to make decisions that will best suit me.

As you look ahead to events that tug at your desire to dress up and look stunning, go for subtle, confident glamour, and I have feeling you will never be disappointed.

Why Not . . . Be Casually Elegant?

This past week I have had the opportunity to finally view the film Amélie, get lost in the language of France, enjoy fabulous company and thankfully have time to just dream, and I must say, that for me, these instances provided moments that were idyllic. I hope you too are able to enjoy moments where you count your blessings, choose not to rush and instead savor all that is so patiently waiting to be enjoyed. There is always something beautiful about life waiting to reveal itself to you, if we first have the courage to look for it.
