he festive music can be heard in your favorite shops, interwoven throughout your favorite radio station's hits and decorations, lights and wreaths have magically attached themselves to doors, homes and everything in between.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready. Ready for the lovely feeling of hope that seems to dance around the streets and on people's smiles. Ready for this time of year that seems to remind us that magic is something that is possible if we believe enough, are brave enough and are strong enough to embrace all that this life can offer.

What I've come to appreciate most about this time of year is that it lays solely in our hands to create nostalgic moments that will replay over and over again in our memories.  It is up to each one of us to determine how to savor the cheer, the festivities and all of the invitations.  It's easy to simply glide through family traditions, assuming they and the people we share them with will be there every year, but we also subconsciously know this is impossible.  Around our Thanksgiving table yesterday, my sister in-law asked each one of us to write down what we were most thankful for, and while this seems simple, many people had a difficult time being honest about their gratitude while others were clearly more in tune with how bountiful their lives were even if no one else could understand.  For me personally, I find it very warming to be around people who aren't afraid of their feelings when the time is appropriate to share.  I become a bit turned off by people who laugh, joke or poke fun at others because they are the ones who aren't comfortable enough with themselves to open up.  So for those of you are in tune with your emotions, comfortable realizing and expressing in your own way how you feel, pat yourself at the back because it takes strong, secure people to understand appreciate and vocalize how they feel.  Hearing those words from those people who love and care about you is one of the best gifts to receive.

While some of you may be just coming home from hitting the Black Friday sales, others may simply be enjoying a day off, and yet others looking forward to a weekend.  Whatever the case may be, I hope this first official weekend of holiday bustling about begins in such a way that leaves you optimistic about the rest of the season.

In this week's newsletter comfort and simply luxurious living is the focus from the Style Suggestion, to the Style Inspiration post and my first contribution to an online magazine I think you will immensely enjoy - Docica.  Above all else, I crave the combination of comfort and at the same time luxury, as you may have guessed, and there is something offered in each of these selections that offers both of these ingredients.

Happy holidays and do enjoy reading through this week's newsletter. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.

This Week's

Style Suggestion

It's all about comfort this weekend, enjoying a few extra days off, snuggling up in front of the fire dreaming about the holiday season now upon us.  Nothing symbolizes comfort more than cashmere, and while over-sized, by revealing a bit of shoulder, chic femininity is kept in check. Add a few simple gold accessories and forget about time for an evening, an afternoon or two.
