In the middle of amazing progress we may find ourselves doubting or wondering if indeed our efforts are fruitful and on track, aiding us in achieving the goals we have longed dreamed about. Even the most confident of goal seekers have moments when we lose our footing. Whether prompted by a loose, thoughtless comment from a family member, friend or colleague, an article we happen to read in the newspaper that prompts doubt in our likelihood for success or a temporary setback, such events if timed fortuitously at a weak moment can render us doubtful.

I would be lying if I didn't admit to feeling such pangs of doubt from time to time, and I often find myself in such situations when I've been exhausting myself in the pursuit of a desired outcome. It is in those moments that I usually need to reach out to my cheerleaders (my closest confidants) and be refueled and reassured. For if they can see the potential and the possibilities in my effort, then maybe I am missing something. Maybe I am short-changing myself.

We all need at least one cheerleader in our lives who is in our corner, who recognizes when we need unbridled optimism and refuses to let us give up. We need these people (and it truly doesn't have to be more than one or two people) because we are human.

As infallible creatures, we, as humans, become exhausted, we make mistakes, we forget how hard we've worked and sometimes that we need to trust ourselves more. And so it is our cheerleaders that we need to remind us of our goodness and our potential when we can't seem to see it for ourselves. This week's readers' favorite post spoke to this doubt and offers inspiration to remind us that we are indeed heading in the right direction- 10 Signs You're On the Right Track

But let it not be forgotten, that if we are indeed fortunate enough to have a cheerleader in our lives, we must always pay it forward. Seek out those who need your support and those you wish to support. Be their ear, give your time and be willing to remind them of their greatness, because it's there. Each one of us has greatness and every so often, we need to be reminded of it when we can't seem to find it for ourselves.

Another post that readers devoured this past weekend was the most recent Petit Plaisir. As someone who loves building my cookbook library, I recently found a cookbook that has jumped to the top of my list when it comes to ease, delicious food and everyday dining. Do have a look, and if you too enjoy eating well every day of the week and are only cooking for one or two people, you will want to add this one to your wish list.

Now this week, TSLL Home Tour was put on pause, as I am waiting for a few last details to arrive before I reveal the last room on the tour. Trust me, it will be worth it, and I apologize for the delay, but hopefully before the end of April, you will see what I've been up to over the past few weeks.

Okay, well, it is the weekend, and that means freedom and leisure and good things of all kinds. Whatever your plans are, I do hope you have a wonderful time. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.

Outfit of the Week:No. 15

White seems to be on everyone's minds, and while it may seem daunting, with the right cut, the proper denim or fabric that is opaque, creating a sleek silhouette, is a wonderful option to have for a spring and summer capsule wardrobe. As a fan of Victoria Beckham's denim for it's structure and subtle stretch, her white jeans below are worth saving up for or saving on Hukkster. They will be with you for years to come and transition for casual use as well as a sophisticated look in the evening with a silk blouse and jacket.

I am even more excited to share with you the mid high heel sandal I found for this week's Outfit of the Week. Available in a list of colors, with just a few inches off the ground and a sturdy heel, Frye's sandal is a wonderful addition for day or evening looks.
