Fall is upon us, and the need to put on a few more layers has officially arrived.  And while sometimes change in general can be a daunting concept, the change of the season is something I quite enjoy. Perhaps it is because the change is one in which we know what to expect as it happens every twelve months. If only all of types of change were so simple and comforting.

But if the unknown gift of change was unavailable to us, we wouldn't have the opportunity to grow, to evolve and to become our best selves. While yes, the opportunity to become tripped up is possible as well, as soon as we realize we have more input in how it works out based on the attitude we bring with us, the change that is bound to happen feels more exhilarating that frightening.

So, if you as well enjoy the change of seasons, why not try to become more comfortable with other types of changes that you may be contemplating as well. As you approach them, consider your thoughts and you attitude. After all, they have more power in determining the outcome of our success than you may realize.

Here is a post from the archives you might enjoy . . .

I have been eager to introduce you to one of my favorite places to sit down and nibble on a buttery croissant and an absolutely sinful cup of hot chocolate. And so, it happened this week that I put the finishing touches on a profile post of a local patisserie that you must visit if ever you are in the Walla Walla wine valley. Also in this week's newsletter, you'll find the readers' favorite post - Why Not . . . Have Self-Control? - a simple concept that has a significant effect on the quality of our lives.  And for seasonal inspiration - a list of things that I most adore about fall, as well as fall fashion inspiration from the streets of Paris.

And can you believe, the last weekend of September is here? Sure enough, summer is behind us and fall has begun, but what amazing events and opportunities await us. For this first weekend of fall, I do wish you a wonderful few days to enjoy the bounty at your local farmers' market, peruse the pumpkin patch and nibble on warm treat that you've had your taste buds set on. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.

I don't know about you, but my toes sure do get cold in the winter; however, I still like adding height without having to pull on a knee-high boot. And with the option of the bootie wedge, the perfect shoe for fall is mine. Worn with skinny jeans or tights and skirts, the wedge or block heel provides more structure and is far easier to walk around in than stiletto heels. And with its ability to transition from day to evening seamlessly, why not find the perfect pair for this season?
