I've been enjoying the opportunity to read Tish Jett's new book Forever Chic as she has filled it will endless anecdotes and tips learned from living in France. One of the ideas she reiterates as important in every woman's life is taking time to take care of ourselves. From regular beauty treatments, investing in a quality haircut and investing in mind stimulation - visiting museums, travel, taking classes, etc.

While living life with the goal to leave the world a better place is an admirable and laudable priority, paired equally with this goal is caring for ourselves so that we can offer our best to the world. Admittedly, life is all the sweeter after completing a task and making progress toward an end target, but there must be regular time along the way in which we tend to our own needs - a massage, a facial, quiet time to sit at a cafe and catch our breath.

On the topic of respecting ourselves and finding special pastimes that replenish our energy as well as provide inspiration, I wanted to share this post from the archives . . .

In this week's newsletter, I've shared a glimpse into my office (via Instragram) as I am changing up some of the wall decor and will hopefully have more to show by the end of November, as well as simple tips I use to eat well without the fuss throughout the work week in this week's Why Not . . . ?

Looking for a classic trench this fall? If you're like me, you might be only be able to dream of Burberry, but I've found a wonderful cotton trench in this week's Save Outfit that will certainly fit into your budget.

Speaking of fashion savings, if you are looking for a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress, through the end of today (Friday October 25th), Neiman Marcus' Last Call is slashing prices to $160 on a handful of her iconic dresses. Click here to have a look - I couldn't believe these bargains!

And readers offered wonderful, helpful tips this week on Facebook as I posed a question inspired by Wednesday's Why Not . . . ? post. Be sure to stop by and have a look and feel free to add your own thoughts as well.

The upcoming weekend is hopefully full of worthwhile plans - big and small. Whether you're enjoying an early Halloween party, getting caught up around your home or seeing friends that you haven't caught up with in awhile, may you find some time for yourself and revel in this necessary pampering.  U ntil next week, I'll see you on the blog.

While freezing temperatures haven't become the norm as of yet, the wool coats are still patiently waiting to be worn. In the meantime, pull out your favorite classic trench and wear it with a statement making pair of pants and solid top. Finished with pointed to pumps to elongate your leg and you can take either of these looks from day to evening.
