The saying certainly is true - time does gently assuage all wounds if we allow it to do its job and we do ours of getting on with our lives and moving forward instead of dwelling on the past.

When we choose to focus on what is working and pay attention to what we want to work, indeed grand manifestations and confidence can rise up. You see, what we feed, grows. What we intensely spend our time focusing on, blossoms. So it is imperative that we choose wisely the thoughts that run around in our heads, the company we keep and the talents we hone and develop. Because as one of my favorite American authors reminds us, "If we walk confidently in the direction of our dreams and dare to live the life which we have imagined, we will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."

Believe it or not, it is true, but often we are too impatient to allow it to occur in our very own lives. So what is the solution? We must respect our dreams enough to gently place our impatience to the side and simply cultivate the wonderful life we want to live, revel in and leave as our legacy. We must not be distracted or hurt by people who want us to believe that the life we want is absurd. We must listen to those little tuggings within the heart that won't leave us alone until we find the courage to pursue where they want so desperately to lead us.

So how do you go about creating this grand legacy you will be proud to reflect on? Here are a few ideas from a post pulled from the archives:

Fashion has been on my mind lately as the much anticipated Paris Fashion Week has just begun. The artistry, the gallantry, the grand productions that many of the shows become continue to uphold the tradition of fabulous fashion in the City of Light. So a couple of the posts this week have focused on creating your own quality wardrobe, no matter what your budget.

First of all, thank you for the warm reception of the new regular weekly post series - Want & Have Outfit. This week's outfits pulls two items from my very own closet paired with accessories that finish the look - with inspiration from Kate Middleton herself, I was especially excited to share this particular outfit - click here to view and shop.

Also, the most popular post of the week was Why Not . . . Build Your Own Capsule Wardrobe on a Budget? which shared shopping ideas, as well as care instructions for maintaining a quality wardrobe that will work for many seasons to come. Do stop by and if you've already discovered your own secrets to creating a fantastic wardrobe and feel free to share a few secrets.

As promised the ModMade Goods Giveaway winner will be announced in this newsletter. So without further ado, the lucky winner who will receive a $50 gift certificate as well as a small complimentary pouch is Kylie Cooper of The Blonde Historian blog! Congratulations Kylie! Please email me at [email protected] to claim your prize. And again, thank you to everyone who entered.

So far the last few days of September have been absolutely beautiful, calm and temperate. Perfect well for walking, wearing lightweight cashmere sweaters, or a dress with simply a scarf to stay warm. With only a few more days to enjoy before October begins, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
