ave you ever experienced a time in your life where you felt as though you were following all of the necessary and correct advice to help you achieve your goals and have been doing so for quite some time, yet after a while you get to a point where you can't help but ask, what else do I need to do because my goal hasn't been achieved yet?

During such moments, it can seem as though you are never going to reach your dreams.  You can begin to question your approach and your carefully laid out plans. You may even reconsider giving any more effort because you're not sure it's worth it.

I've been there, and if you've been there as well, you know it can be extremely frustrating and often mentally taxing.

What I'd like to reassure you of today is to keep following your plan.  Keep sticking to the strategy you so carefully researched, planned and laid out for yourself because you will arrive where you had imagined, it just may not be on your time schedule.

Recently, I was reminded of this advice when after carefully researching how to write an ideal query letter for prospective publishers and agents and remembering back a decade ago when I wrote my first query letter for an entirely different book concept, an agent finally asked to see my work this week. Now this doesn't necessarily mean anything for certain, but it is a step in the right direction, and it demonstrated that I was doing something right. However, prior to this happening, I was questioning myself repeatedly, running ideas and doubts around in my mind asking myself what I needed to change or completely abandon as it seemed nothing was working. After many rejections, I just kept my head down, kept polishing my query letter, and continued to believe in my product. Yes, those days of frustration happened periodically, but they passed and I got busy again. If nothing else I was reassured that having a clear plan, being knowledgeable of the process that each of us chooses to embark on and being willing to learn constantly as the process unfolds, will eventually result in good things materializing.

If you believe that indeed success will occur as well, then most likely you understand the benefits of being organized. That is why with this past Wednesday's Why Not . . . Get Organized? series beginning, I am confident that once you remove the clutter that gets in the way, are able to be clear about what you want to accomplish and provide an environment in your home, work and life that is conducive to productivity, you can focus more easily on the goals you set for yourself. And when those moments arrived where you begin to question yourself, remember  that you did the research, you know you will have to have patience and most importantly, continue to believe in yourself.  Because if you believe in what you are trying to accomplish, then you will eventually it will be recognized and rewarded.

So this week has included a handful of ways to get organized as a new Why Not . . .? three part series began as well as ways to remain motivated to stay organized with Tuesday's inspiration for open shelving in the kitchen. However, the most popular post by far was Monday's Inspiration To Think for Yourself where I share ways to access why you behave the way you do even if you don't like certain behaviors and ideas on how to gradually change your life to make it more fulfilling regarding the thoughts you allow to run through your mind on any given day.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and be sure to stay cool if you're baking in the heat as so much of the states are or stay warm and snuggle up with a cup of something scrumptious if you're one of my many Aussie readers. Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
