hen a challenge presents itself in your life whether it be the opportunity to learn something new, acquire a skill that you have never attempted before or retrain your routine, it initially isn't easy.  In fact, it is quite tempting to throw up your hands and go back to the way you have always done things.

This past week has lent many opportunities for learning experiences at work and here on the blog. And while there have been moments when it would have been easy to stop and remain comfortable in what I have known, by striving forward and learning to think differently about something due to new and, until then, unavailable information, upon reflection, I am thankful for the experience.

With each new instance that we allow ourselves to be plunged into challenging circumstances with all of the uncertainty and moments of discomfort, we are really doing ourselves a service. We are allowing growth to occur, to see life in a new perspective, to deepen our understanding about something more fully than we had ever known before.

In our modern society, we are drowning in information, but it always astonishes me how so many people cast it aside and choose to go about business as usual when aid to improve their lives and better their living experience is readily available if only they choose to welcome it.

The refusal to not welcome an opportunity is due in large part to the newness, the uncertainty and experience of something we don't know anything about.  If I can suggest one reassurance today, I would offer up to you that when you are in the middle of trying something new, and it becomes difficult, keep pushing, keep holding that pose, keep taking those dance lessons, because skill isn't acquired over night, but with patience, attention and hard work it gradually reveals itself.

And if you're looking for ways to challenge yourself and keep your mind exercised, take a look at . . . Why Not . . . Challenge Yourself?

One of the more popular posts this week dealt with the idea that will certainly help during those times when we are frustrated that our goals aren't being met.  Take a look at Monday's Inspiration Concentrate Your Power to reassure yourself that you can achieve it with just a few small changes to your approach.

The overwhelming favorite of readers, however, was the suggestion Why Not . . . Watch Less Television?.  Finding myself contemplating the decision of how to improve my own life in small, yet significant ways, I found the comments shared on this particular post very inspiring, and I have a feeling many others did as well.  If you stopped by on Wednesday to share your experience with eliminating or limiting your television use, thank you. It is refreshing to hear so many who want more quality time in their life and are willing to turn off what so many assume must be a regular addition to our lives.

With all of that said, I hope you are looking ahead to a wonderful weekend full of rest, fun and whatever else energizes your soul.  February has started off with a bang and already Valentine's Day is just a few days away.  While everyone chooses to celebrate in their own way, I'd like to thank you for filling up my heart with optimism on a regular basis as I read your comments, receive your emails and catch your tweets.  There really is reason for all of us to be positive and hopeful, and I hope you find even more reason when you stop by the blog.  Take care and until next week, I'll see you on the blog.

How do you define luxury?

Luxury to me is feeling your best and your most confident. I also define luxury by appreciating the beauty and blessings in your everyday life.

What luxuries do you enjoy in your every day routine?

Some of the everyday luxuries I enjoy are the great friendships I have and spending time with people who I love. I try to practice perpetual service whenever possible to keep remembering to be thankful for what I have.

What luxuries do you hope to enjoy in the future?

In the future I hope to have the luxury to work for myself, work in the comfort of my home. Raise a beautiful family, and have a loving husband. I hope to be able to have the luxury to better other people's lives by  giving back to different organizations. But of course I would be lying if I didn't say that I hope to have a walk in closet full of sexiest heels imaginable. *SIGH*
