ow do you know? How do you know when it's time to take the leap, to take that risk that you've been daydreaming about for years? How do you know when it's time to move on, to try something new, to take the chance that will most certainly change your life in ways you're not quite certain of?

The answer is that nobody knows with 100% certainty when to take their life in a new direction, but there are clues.

The clues can come in many different forms, but here are a few: the life goals you had once set in front of yourself have all been achieved and you're ready to begin chasing new challenges and experience new opportunities that your previous goals prepared you to now tackle, you've come to understand your true abilities and passions and are more certain of what you can and can't live without, you've given everything and are looking to grow even more, your priorities have changed, you have a self-confidence and an inner courage that you didn't have before, you have too many valid reasons not to and would regret it if you didn't take the chance.

Everyone's scenario is different. One person may be contemplating letting go of a relationship, while another is pondering a move across the country to start a new life. Whatever your scenario is, listen to that voice that can't be silenced in your head.  It's one thing if you hear it by chance and never again, but it's quite another if you find yourself mesmerized by its hypnotic possibilities incessantly.

Begin by investigating and exploring in the comfort of your current life, make a few temporary changes or go visit the city, state, or country you've had your eye on and get a feel for what your intuition has to say while you stroll about.

But most importantly, listen and don't ignore what your subconscious is hinting at.  Indulge it ever so slightly, possibly by just picking up a book on the idea of the change you've been considering, but do yourself a favor, never ignore it and tinker with the idea of letting go and moving on to a greater possibility.

In this week's newsletter you will find a slight change as my regular Tuesday post has changed to encompass a greater theme of creating tranquility.  Whether it be found in the decor of our homes, how we travel or places in between to find serenity, I will be trying to share ideas each week that offer ways to bring more of tranquility into each of our lives.

A woman who has been a source for many people around the world of helping to create a more fulfilling life is Oprah, and as I sat down to watch her last show, I had my pen in hand scribbling down quote after quote that I found inspiring.  I have pulled them together to share with you in this week's post Oprah's Goodbye.

And if you're someone who is interested in becoming a stylist or simply wants to be a better stylist for herself, check out my review on the recently released book Secrets of Stylists as I think you will find it to be a great resource.

I want to take a quick moment to thank a handful of readers who have written me some wonderful emails in the past few weeks - Thea, Karen, Dana, Clare and Joanna - your thoughtfulness was something I won't forget, and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to get in touch.

To you as well , I want to thank you for subscribing to The Simply Luxurious Life newsletter, and I wish you a wonderfully relaxing and exhilarating weekend, but most importantly the type of weekend you've been looking forward to all week. After all, most weeks ask a lot of us, and knowing the type of person you are, you give your all and then some. Take care of yourself this weekend.  Allow yourself to be treated to something fun and luxurious and come back on Monday (or Tuesday) rearing to go.

Until next week, I'll see you on the blog.
