Happy Valentine's Day Wishes on Heart Awareness Month!

Throughout February, peaking on Valentine's Day, we are all reminded about the importance of love in our lives -- the many forms that love can take shape in our life. Romantic love, compassionate love, familial love, platonic love and so on as I prepared to write this segment on love, I was taken back to the beautiful writings of Michael Ondaatje in the 1994 oscar winning film "The English Patient"... and now the theme of today's Lotus Love Notes. No matter what the modifier or type of love it may be, it is Love nonetheless.
Love, the living force that can bring many amazing experiences, joyous moments and peace into our being, as well as pain, sorrow and discontents; usually from the experience of it's absence. But, in it's presence -- the connectedness of all things can emerge and flow into all the vessels of our life.
Take the moment today and throughout this month to be in it's presence. Let it unfold before you and be the fuel that feeds your thoughts, words and decisions. May you light your life with's it's power and let it guide you every step of the way... always.

Today, February 14th, marks the day of that vital expression we call Love. That vital force that we connect through our Heart. Fire is the element that associated with the heart, as is Love, Passion and Compassion. It is a well-known archetype in many cultures and languages. The Fire Element is connected with the heart in Chinese Metaphysics, one of the main basis of our programs. and stems from the same foundation of feng shui, chinese medicine and face analysis. Fire and heart can be seen through the eyes, as described in face analysis, and in dimples, freckles the points of the mouth, nose and ears to name a few.
Take a moment to see how Fire is demonstrated in your face... your character, your life. Excitement, exuberance and inspirations are just some of the qualities expressed by fire, which energetically reveal the heart of the matter.
In other systems, the Heart is connected to the balancing Chakra or energy center. The heart chakra is where the consciousness of love, empathy and devotion reside. It is the transmuting point where all energies, emotions and healing can be transformed into love by love. Make a point to honor your heart and it's pure - divine nature.

This month is Heart Awareness Month. Start with giving reverence to your own and allowing for it's purity to flow into you life and radiate out to others. Check in with your heart and see where it is needing attention and healing - then allow it to be full again.
