nullScrapbooking is a great way of recording memories of special events, but scrapbooking can capture so much more. Usually scrapbook pages are filled with event or holiday photographs.  Here's a scrapbook page that not only capture's 4th of July, but preserve's a special family recipe as well.

This scrapbook page was done in My Digital Studio (118108).

Here's what to do:
1. Open My Digital Studio
2. Select Photo Album 12" x 12"
3. Select Design Your Own
4. Name your project
5. Select Blank Page Template
6. Select background.  I used Marina Mist Designer Series Paper. My Digital Studio works in layers. I go from the most back to the front.  You also have the option of moving layers forward or back as you work on your project.
7. Select card stock; I chose Real Red as a layer.
8. Select card stock; I chose Whisper White as a layer.
At this point resize your Real Red and Whisper White layers as shown.
9. Select text, and on the one Whisper White layer type in a recipe. I used an apple pie image I had on my desktop. You can look for free copyright images or use a photograph.  If you drag the image to your desktop it will show up when you click on the camera icon in My Digital Studio. You can then drag in the image form the My Digital Studio sidebar onto your scrapbook page.
10. Select Embellishments, Browse, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon,
11. Select Punches, Browse, Scallop Circle Punch
12. Select Stamp Set, Browse, Homemade Stamp Set, change the color to Not Quite Navy.  On the Homemade stamp I dragged in an apple image I had three times, and resized them
to fit in the middle of the "Homemade and to Die For" image to cover up the cupcakes.
13. Select Punches, Browse Photo Corners, change the color to Not Quite Navy and place the corners where shown.
14. Select Embellishment, Browse, Brads, and place two Whisper White brads on the Real Red Ribbon as shown and Real Red Brads around the scallops of the stamp.  Don't forget to drag in a photo in the allocated photo spot.
15. Save.
16. Print out or send to Stampin' Up! for a professional print.
Using My Digital Studio is fun and easy to design with until you're absolutely thrilled with what you've created.  Happy Scrapping with My Digital Studio!

Let your friends know how you really feel with this beautiful candle. I have chosen warm brown tones but you can choose your friend's favorite colors!

SUPPLIES
STAMPS: Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel (114696)
INK REFILL: Chocolate Chip (102847)
ACCESSORIES: Crystal Effects (101055), Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (119959), Stampin' Around Jumbo Handle (103661), Jumbo Uninked Cartridge (103678), Paper Snips (103579), Dotto (103305), Heat Tool (100005)
OTHER: Unscented white candle, tissue paper, waxed paper

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Roll the Friendly Words image on white tissue paper using Chocolate Chip Ink.
2. Roughly cut it out using Paper Snips (some people like to tear the tissue paper).
3. Tack it to your white candle using Dotto Adhesive. Not a lot of adhesive is needed to hold it in place.
4. Wrap it in a large piece of waxed paper. The piece should be large enough to wrap around the candle tightly and create a "handle" to hold onto.
5. While holding onto the excess waxed paper and ensuring that the waxed paper is tightly against the candle, use the Heat Tool to melt the tissue paper into the candle. You can tell this is happening by watching the image through the waxed paper, it will become translucent. BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERHEAT THE CANDLE!
6. If excessive melting does occur, heat it again quickly with the Heat Tool and then, while still wrapped tightly in the waxed paper, roll it over a flat surface.
7. Carefully peel the waxed paper from the candle.
8. Use a portion of the unused waxed paper to melt the remaining tissue paper around the candle.
9. Using a thin line of Crystal Effects, adhere the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon to the top and bottom of the candle making sure that the seams are in line with the other seams in the back of the candle.

Tool Tip:
Stampin' Around Wheel Guide

Do you have Wobbly Wheel Syndrome? Wobbly Wheel Syndrome (WWS) has long plagued
papercrafters. Symptoms include crooked images, the "uphill/downhill" slant, poorly spaced rows of wheel images, wheeled images incorrectly placed, etc. Wouldn't you love to be able to use your Stampin' Around wheels with confidence and have the images completely straight and exactly where you want them to be?

If you suffer from WWS, I have the cure! The Stampin' Around Wheel Guide will put an end to all of your WWS symptoms and more!

The Stampin' Around Wheel Guide makes it possible to roll perfectly straight images up to 22" long. It even allows for 90° angles! There are two clear, interlocking 12" raised rulers that make the Stampin' Around Wheel Guide. This simple tool makes it possible to create stunning effects on your cards, pages, and other projects. The background on the card shown would not be possible without it!

When using the Stampin' Around Wheel Guide, the number one thing to remember is to keep the wheel snug against the Guide. The Guide is clear so you can position it perfectly on your project. Use the marks to make sure you are lined up correctly and you will never wheel a crooked image again.

Measure the image on the Stampin' Around Wheel you are using and that will help you space out your rows. Just be sure to add 1/16-1/4" to the image size unless you want the rows to touch!

Question - How do I re-ink the Stampin' Write Markers?

Answer: Another fabulous reason to love Stampin' Up! products is the ability to easily re-ink markers when they dry out. Using the Classic Stampin' Ink Refills, you can add more ink to your markers so they are good as new.

Add a few drops of the same color re-inker to a small glass or Dixie cup and put your maker into the cup brush tip down. Let the marker sit overnight so the tip can absorb the ink. In the morning, cap both ends and let the marker stand upright a few hours with the fine tip down to evenly distribute the ink.  After that be sure to store your markers on their side.
