 'm really psyched about the weekend!  Tomorrow I am leaving for a much-awaited, hard-core, hike-then-sleep camping trip in West Texas off the Rio Grande - my last foray into the wilderness until next year.  Of course, I had a field day at REI putting together a worthy ensemble of hiking boots, a refreshing bright green softshell, and convertible pants.  Let's see how I fare the next four days on just seven pieces...wait for my daily account next week!  If you haven't already checked it out, here is our post on what to wear camping.
