Sent Thursday, May 10, 2012
Hey,
I HATE working out sore, tired, or fatigued. Missing
lifts fires me up.
Fortunately I've been working on a technique to make
sure I'm ready to go for the next lifting session.
Here it is:

THIS got me in Men's Health (pdf)
Sent Monday, May 7, 2012
Hey,
Last month I was honored by an editor at
Men's Health reaching out and asking my
opinions on Self Myofascial Release.
In the MH article I mentioned a technique I've
been working on with a local physical
therapist that has been working wonders!
It's simple, but will change your foam
rolling protocol for the better.
BUT FIRST, I wanted to share with you
the 2011 Synergy article that got the ball rolling
for us:

everyone. This is NOT baseball specific, and should
answer everyone's questions (from Dec '11)

#2. I'm finally bringing back the topic of the week
for YouTube videos and Synergy Articles (as seen

Save time AND build strength
Sent Thursday, April 26, 2012
Hey,
Last night we were feeling crushed after
chain squats, but wanted to still get through
our planned Bulgarian Split Squats with
a slight added range of motion.
I decided to integrate my grip training
right into my standard lower body workout.
Huge time saver!
Here's one way to save time and still get the
full workout in:

Mandatory Core Bracing (Part 1 of 3)
Sent Thursday, April 19, 2012
Hey,
Have you ever seen someone that leaks energy
while running? Their arms are usually flopping all
over and their hips are tipping side to side.
Building a strong and stable core is part 1 of fixing
this solution BUT these muscles have to fire at the
right times.
Here's two simple ways to get started:

Training until failure: Good or bad?
Sent Wednesday, April 11, 2012
Hi,
In 45 minutes I'm off to Las Vegas to present
at the NSCA Personal Trainer's conference on
dynamic dumbbell training.
Presenting on a similar topic last June, I received
questions on the number of reps and why we start
out only doing 1-5 repetitions.
Simply put, first we go over Dynamic effort (RFD)
exercises and then Repetition Effort (closer to
strength endurance). The tricky part is the same
exercises can be used for both, just the set and rep
scheme is altered. […]

What our shirts say...
Sent Tuesday, April 3, 2012
Hi,
Despite the major swings in the fitness
industry, there are bits of pieces of knowledge
buried in each trend.
Here's what I've found out and the philosphy I use
at Synergy.
Strength Revolt.
Stay Strong,
Joe
PS. This is the term we wear across the chest of
our shirts at the gym.
