[Your Color Style] 3 Ways to Wear, Undertones and more...
Published: Sun, 08/18/19
Happy Sunday!
Fall clothing is showing up in the stores along with the Fall/Winter trending colors. I'm already seeing the colors pop up. On September 1st, I'll be releasing my report on all of the new trending colors to look for this fall and winter. Plus a neutrals guide with outfit ideas. These will be available in the ColorStyle Membership.
I sort of punted on doing anything with summer wardrobe because I've been recovering from hip surgery since June and shopping for clothes just wasn't inspiring me. But I'm feeling better and I'm ready to do a major overhaul for the fall. Because honestly, I have absolutely nothing to wear. Well... it feels that way.
I'm going to be sharing my process of creating a mix and match capsule based wardrobe in the capsule wardrobe Facebook group. If you are a ColorStyle Member, you have access to this group (and the course). I'm going to be using the Your Color Style guides and tools to do this... PLUS some fun creative stuff. Sharing my process with you keeps me accountable and I'm hoping it will help you try
some fun stuff in your wardrobe. I'm starting with creating a neutrals baseline. I don't even think I have enough pieces to do THAT. So, I'll be shopping for sure.
The designs of the new color fans are coming along. I'm playing with how to add in a couple pages of "must avoid colors". I'm also adding in a few in between colors where I think there's a gap. So, most pages will have 3 colors that look more like a range which I believe will help you when you're not seeing an exact match. More to come on these, but I'm really liking how these are turning out. And don't worry, the current color fans are not going away. But the Soft and Bright color fans ARE going away. They are discounted 50% on clearance. Also the Best
Colors fans and cards are discontinued. Once they're gone, they're gone.
Princess Blue is a true blue meaning that it doesn’t seem to have any warmth in it. No red or yellow. This also means this bright blue is a universal color and can be worn by both bright & warms and bright & cools. If you love this color but it just doesn’t flatter you, wear the color as a bottom or accessory. Need more ideas and
inspiration? Get the complete guide to wearing Princess Blue when you subscribe to the ColorStyle Membership.
I’ve pulled together 3 outfit ideas using the same Princess Blue top to inspire you this week.
Are you warm or cool or neutral? That's the question of the day when trying to figure out what color flatter you best. For some of us, it's pretty easy and for others, it's a little more complicated. I've created
two podcast episodes, so far, discussing undertones. One explaining Warm Undertones and one explaining Cool Undertones. The Neutral Undertones
episode is being recorded today. So, be sure to subscribe to my podcast on iTunes or Spotify to know when a new episode is posted.
If you're still trying to figure out what colors flatter you best, then get my Color Style Kit. You will receive in the mail 12 color analysis cards. One for each color type with colors that only that color type
can really wear well. Plus, you get access to the online companion course that walks you through step-by-step, with videos, showing you how to your own personal color analysis. Each color type is explained in detail. Plus there are a couple bonus videos that address neutral tones. You can also join the Your Color Style Facebook group to share your photos with your cards and receive feedback from the
community. It's not a professional color analysis, but it can be just what you need to find your direction.

A few years ago, I found myself divorced, grieving over losing my oldest daughter and truly lost. I had forgotten what it was like to have true joy in my life. Did I ever really know? I didn't know who I was or what truly made me happy.
As I went through the process of learning about myself, I founded Your Color Style. Identifying the colors that make you feel amazing is a simple step you can take to build your confidence. Color transformed my life. It is now my mission to help you get through whatever transition is going on in your life through color.
