Guanidine Vs Chlorophyll
By: Dr. Lowell J Keppel DC
Therapeutic Food Manual Calcium Deficiency Syndrome!
One of the basic causes of extreme fluctuation in calcium levels is the excessive accumulation of guanidine, a highly alkaline toxin, which precipitates calcium from the blood and tissue fluids. It has been called the "pain toxin" because it is released from the tissues upon trauma. Chlorophyll is an antagonist of guanidine, which is the reason it is so effective in relief of pain when used on burns, tooth extractions and other traumatic conditions.
Guanidine Toxicity
Guanidine is a toxic end product of metabolism, and the control of it would help explain the results obtained by Dr. Jarvis's recommended use of apple cider vinegar in the diet. T.R. Robertson tells us that a high-meat diet can create the symptoms of guanidine poisoning (i.e., the various reactions of alkalosis and calcium depletion--muscle twitching, cramps, neurotic pains of the migrating type, aggravation of all allergic reactions.)
Guanidine, Cider Vinegar, and Health
The control of the flora of the bowel may also be part of the mechanism of apple cider vinegar. Guanidine is an organic alkaline base that we have reported as being one of the products of unfavorable bacterial activity in the colon. Sour milk, yogurt, and acidophilus yeast have long been known to be beneficial in correcting the local environment; they favor the friendly bacteria and block the growth of toxin-producing organisms. The common syndrome of constipation, calcium-deficiency
symptoms, and a drift to arthritis is obviously a situation calling for acidophilus yeast, a whole wheat regimen, raw foods containing phosphatase (all nuts, bran, and cereals, only if uncooked), soaked whole wheat or rye as breakfast cereal, raw fruit and juices, and raw vegetables and juices.
Guanidine
We can see where the guanidine effect as a fatigue poison is contributory to arthritis, sciatica, etc., the patient often telling us how fatigue aggravates his state of misfortune. Local inflammation also can release guanidine.
Why Vitamin A is vital to both liver and kidney activities and its deficiency is undoubtedly contributory to a rise in guanidine levels of the body fluids.
Chlorophyll for Healing, Lois Miller 1941
Increase the resistance of the cells and inhibit the growth of bacteria, thus preventing the germs from spreading their poisons. Last July, the first report on the therapeutic use of Chlorophyll was published in the American Journal of American Surgery. Some 1200 cases, ranging from deep internal infections such as peritonitis and brain ulcers to Pyorrhea and skin disorders, has been treated and documented, and in case after case the doctors have been able to close their reports:
"Discharged as cured."
The gums have tightened up entirely (in mouth infections.)
But the most spectacular results occurred in the treatment of chronic sinus infections and head colds. In 1000 cases of respiratory infections--sinitis, rhinitis, head colds, etc.-- treated under the supervision of Dr. Robert Ridpath and Dr. T. Carroll Davis, the prominent specialists reported, "There is not a single case recorded in which either improvement or cure has not taken place." Chlorophyll packs, skillfully inserted into the sinuses--it is reported--had a drying effect, cleared up
congestion, and gave immediate relief. Congested head colds were cleared up within 24 hours.
Protomorphology
A lack of choline may be an etiologic factor in eclamptic convulsions. The eclampsia occurring later in pregnancy we feel is due to the excess production of protomorphogen decomposition products.
Nutrition and Arthritis
- A ballooned colon certainly will let poisons pass into the circulating blood that an intact colon will stop. Guanidine is one of the most potent of the bowel poisons.
- That is why Vitamin A is vital to both liver and kidney activities, and its deficiency is undoubtedly contributory to a rise in guanidine levels of the body fluids.
Chlorophyll
- The chlorophyll in high Vitamin A plant sources may also be a factor, for chlorophyll is destructive to guanidine on contact. it is probably this fact that renders chlorophyll such a valuable healing agent.
- Promotes the elimination of cholesterol.
Chlorophyll Complex (6-9/day OES)
Is our fat-soluble chlorophyll product for use. It's made from alfalfa, buckwheat, vines, tillandsia, sesame seeds and soybean. An outstanding product with many only-natural sources of Vitamin K content includes the Vitamin E making the product valuable with hormone balance problems.
Finally, Chlorophyll Perles have a mild detoxifying effect in the gastrointestinal tract, particularly in cases of arthritis, arteriosclerosis, etc. Chlorophyll has a neutralizing effect on guanidine, which you recall is the toxin of constipation.
Chlorophyll Ointment
Fat-Soluble chlorophyll is excellent for topical applications such as lesions, burns and skin ulcers. it is a stimulant for skin regeneration and healing.
Thank you, Dr. Keppel!
