I can’t believe summer is coming to a close and we are nearing closer and closer to our new season of classes, events, Fiyah Fit Bashes and the world premiere of , “Out of Many, I Dare You Not To FInd Your Connection” on October 5th and 6th at 6pm on the Millennium Stage at the John F. Kennedy Center For the Performing Arts! Here is a break down of the month ahead and believe me there is a little something for

With me in the upcoming Raemoves Series The Raemoves series is a performance training experience that focuses on choreography inspired
by Dancehall, Afro, and Jazz dance. We will learn one or two different works that are part of Raediant Movement’s repertoire and a new work designed for the series. Our goal is to challenge dancers to step outside their comfort zone, move their bodies and have fun while doing it!

2018 Millennium Stage Local Dance Commissioning Project Choreographed by Erica Rae Smith of Raediant Movement LLC.
Utilizing Modern-Fusion and Caribbean Dancehall, Music, and Social Dance Culture, that includes a live “Selecta” (DJ), and elements of the “Dancehall Dance” (or party)
through the eyes of the choreographer . The work celebrates the legacy and vitality of Dancehall movement and invites the audiences to view the choreographers discovery while encouraging the audiences connection to Dancehall and along the way through the call- and - response format integral to the style .
