Heart Failure
Chronic HF (Heart Failure) is a complex syndrome involving abnormalities of the heart's structure, function, or both which impair the ability of the heart to eject or fill with blood. Symptoms of Heart Failure include:
-- Shortness of breath (sometimes only after exertion such as climbing stairs).
-- Persistent coughing or wheezing.
-- Constant fatigue, weakness, or tiring easily. Light-headedness or confusion.
-- Swelling in abdomen, feet or ankles (edema). Excessive urination at night.
-- Difficulty breathing when lying in a flat position. Waking at night feeling short of breath.
-- Palpitations (sensation of fast or irregular heartbeat).
-- Cachexia--body wasting--a serious complication; may be caused by impaired nutrient absorption and higher calorie use due to increased effort to breathe, higher metabolic rate, higher body temperature.
Nutrition
People with depression are 50% more likely to die or be hospitalized for HF than those who are not depressed. Depression is associated with increased risk of HF and poor prognosis in people with established HF. Depression can indicated deficiencies of nutrients needed for healthy brain/nerve and neurotransmitter function... People who have higher concentrations of vitamin C have a reduced risk for HF than those with low levels... A low vitamin D status may be a contributing factor in the
progression of HF... Inadequate Vitamin K and inadequate vitamin D can contribute to calcifications in blood vessels.
A magnesium deficiency contributes to development of various cardiovascular diseases... Omega-3 fatty acids are beneficial in HF because they help: improve blood-vessel-lining function...improve heart muscle relaxation.
People with HF tend to have diets that are deficient in many or most of the nutrients that would most benefit them.
Standard Process Products for Heart Failure:
--Cardiotrophin to increase heart muscle tone; reduce edema, pulmonary congestion, labored breathing.
-- Cataplex B to improve nervous control of the heart by re-establishing nerve conductivity.
-- Cataplex C increases the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood so takes part of the load off the heart.
- Vitamin E complex to help prevent muscular degeneration by increasing cellular activity and repair rate.
-- E2 fraction of E complex to increase the oxygen conserving factor in the blood.
-- Cataplex G acts as an antispasmodic and vasodilator, helping to relieve coronary spasticity.
-- Organically-Bound Minerals helps tachycardia from deficient minerals, supports a laboring heart.

Stay Subluxation-free
The Chiropractic profession discovered that internal structural distortions called subluxations can cause serious health problems. Subluxations stress your nervous system and interfere with communications among your organs, glands, muscles and other body parts -- including your brain and your immune system. Subluxations can be caused by any trauma: difficult birth, falls, accidents, emotional upset, chemical toxicity, overwork, or a combination of factors -- i.e. physical, chemical or
emotional stress when you are tired, overworked or malnourished. In addition to all of the above, Chiropractic can help everyone live a drug-free, healthy lifestyle.
Chiropractic can be your first step toward improving all the facets of your life
People sometimes ask how chiropractic can improve their health. The answer depends on whom you ask. For some women, menstrual and pregnancy problems have been resolved through Chiropractic. A mother whose child was helped may say that Chiropractic is for ear infections, asthma or colic. A teacher may say it has helped students with dyslexia, vision and learning disorders. Others may declare Chiropractic for back aches, disc problems, arthritis, or high and low blood pressure. Chiropractic
care connects people to their healing potential.
