MASKS OR NO MASKS?
Generally there are at present no rules in place for wearing masks indoors or outdoors in France. However, I recommend the wearing of masks in Paris indoors such as in a museum or shopping or in taxis or public transport to reduce risks. I will keep everyone updated on the rules if they change.
Both my daughter and my sister live in France and I am kept updated as well as being able to check regulations online and from my recent 8 weeks in France I learned how it all works at present. We are not staying in heavily touristed areas which cuts out a lot of risk.
I recommend being fully vaccinated although there are no longer rules around this in France. I travelled having had a flu shot as well as triple vaccination.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET COVID BEFORE THE TOUR & CAN'T JOIN US?
Providing you provide me straight away with your PCR test proving you are Covid positive, and the timing is such that you cannot join us a day or two later, and its acceptable evidence that makes it clear you have Covid in a time frame where you cannot travel and be with us, I am happy to defer your tour to a time when you can join me in 2023 however there are no refunds when you cancel your participation. Payment in full is required
4 weeks in advance. It's up to you to get yourself back to France to participate with me at a later date or take up the online training offer.
If you prefer, you can exchange the value of the tour that has been paid for the same value of Blooms Online Programs and training so you don't have to wait for another tour set of dates and continue your learning and painting experience from home!
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE TEACHER GETS COVID DURING THE TOUR?
There are two ways I can continue to teach if I was to get Covid which is considered to be like having the flu in France. I have had a Covid exoperience and I was able to function fully throughout. However not to minimise it...
We would discuss this as a group and decide which was preferred according to our current situation with either for these choices for any days affected;
-I would be able to demo from a separated ventilated space that keeps you safe and you can still follow the tuition. ie I paint and demo from outside the studio in the courtyard whilst the students are in the studio watching through the windows.
-alternatively I have detailed videos which can be run on zoom to the studio space while the students paint and learn from the close up videos or live painting with me in a different house belonging to French Art School.
I could also adjust the schedule to include additional touring and arrange for the chauffeur to take the group out for sight seeing until I rejoin the group.
This would be conferred with the group at the time to decide the best use of time and maximum enjoyment for everyone. The chef could also teach a cooking class!
Generally 5 days is the isolation time in France. We have 9 days assigned to paint and tour within the tour dates. There are specialised painting exercises and paintings already recorded on video specific to French Art School which would help you to continue your painting that can take place without me being close to you in the room however hovering on zoom where I can see your progress and provide painting support and instruction if that
was the worst case scenario for a few days.
The Covid plan will be kept updated and reissued if any changes take place and confirmed in the week before the tour. I seek a situation that supports you the client and assures you will get your value. Its likely that the August tour will be a very small group so its an ideal time to come along.
It's wonderful to get back into travel and we can do it if we plan to do it safely and have a no fail plan in place that offers you support and value.
