Answer below.
This past weekend the Denver Chess Club brought one of my favorite tournaments back to life - the annual Halloween tournament! It had been about 10 years or so since the DCC held one of these tournaments. Participants were encouraged to wear costumes, and got half off their entry fee if they did. I love any kind of chess tournament with a goofy twist, gimmick, or novelty, and this was right up my alley! I dressed as Jon Snow from Game of Thrones. I am almost done reading all 5 books in the series, and I love it. I want to finish them before the end of the year. I started in June, so has taken me a while! Here is a pictures from the tournament From left to right: Tara Martinez as Pam from "The Office" dressed as a cat, Brian Wall as a illegal Mexican Immigrant (who had a sign asking people not to tell Donald Trump), me as Jon Snow, and Shirley Herman as Batman. lol There were lots of clever and original costumes. There was a contest, which was won by Ann Davies, who was dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow. The tournament was held at the Corner Bakery on 16th Street Mall in Denver, which is a really great place to play, and they are very welcoming to the chess players. Thanks to them! Tournament director James "J.C" MacNeil wrote up an excellent report for the Denver Chess Club, and Chris Peterson formatted it with fun pictures from the tournament, which you can read here: https://denverchess.com/news/article/2056 Here is the complete game:

Answer:
50.h6!! covers the g7 escape square, creating one of the most amazing mating nets I have ever seen. Two knights cannot mate by themselves, but when they have a little help, they can! Black cannot prevent checkmate with the two knights. The knight on e5 is threatening both Nf7# and Ng6 mate, and black cannot stop both. For example, 50...Bh3+ 51.Kxh3 Rxf3+ 52.Nxf3 c5 53.Ng5 cxb4 54.Nf7# Daniel Herman's rating went over 2100 for the first time after this game. Congrats! Happy Tactics!
