his position comes from a 3 minute game played on the Internet Chess Club in March 2015 and contains what Brian Wall calls "Chris Peterson's favorite Dragon trap for the last decade".
In the position on the right it is Black to move.
Answer below.
Happy 61st Birthday to Life Master Brian Wall! If you have been reading my newsletter for a while, you are probably familiar with Brian. Brian is the Godfather of chess emails. He has written thousands of them, and has been doing it for a very long time. He annotates literally every game that he plays, and is hilariously funny. You can join his free Yahoo email group at https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/BrianWallChess/info. Brian is know for playing unusual openings like the Lemming (1...Na6!) and is responsible for spreading the gospel on the Fishing Pole. He made two fantastic videos with Chris Peterson after my buddy Francisco Baltier beat Walter Browne with the fishing pole in a simul game that has become somewhat famous. Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exGSXjvKej0 Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgqVkqrNH_4&feature=related Brian is one of the most active players in the state of Colorado, and plays in just about every event. You can see his tournament history here: http://www.uschess.org/msa/MbrDtlTnmtHst.php?10923344 Here are some of my previous emails that mention or feature Brian that I find amusing:
Millionaire Chess 2 (October 2015): http://archive.aweber.com/tacticstime/Bp8_H/h/Tactics_Time_Chess_Newsletter.htm Brian was a "confession booth junkie" at MC2 spending lots of time in front of the camera sharing his soul with the audience. My mom caught one of his monologues during the telecast and told me "He seems like a nut!" The Knight's Watch (November 2015) http://archive.aweber.com/tacticstime/8LFLn/h/Tactics_Time_Chess_Newsletter.htm Denver Chess Club Halloween Report: Brian dressed up as a illegal Mexican immigrant hiding from Donald Trump. Picture included in the email, along with me dressed as Jon Snow, Shirley Herman as Batman, and Tara Martinez as Pam from the Office dressed as a cat. Colorado Team Report (June 2014) http://archive.aweber.com/tacticstime/9bx99/h/Tactics_Time_Chess_Newsletter_.htm Brian called this tournament "The worst debacle in Colorado history" after the Colorado team lost to New Mexico. 24 Hour Insanity (December 2013). http://archive.aweber.com/tacticstime/NQf6X/h/A_24_Hour_Insanity_Tournament_.htm Sometimes Brian will make a joke that I will still be laughing about years later. This tournament had one of those moments. We are all at Shirley Herman's house, which is a BEAUTIFUL home. Shirley had spent like 2 days straight cleaning the place, and it was spotless. Brian noticed a small drop of coffee on the kitchen counter, and loudly says "I thought Shirley said she cleaned this place!" Happy Birthday Brian! Here is the complete game:

Answer:
13...e5! causes a lot of problems for White. This move hits the White Knight on d4, and unleashes all kinds of tactical ideas. If 14. Nde2 Bf6 15. Qg3 Bh4 and the Queen is trapped. If 14. Qxd8, which is what happened in the game, 14...Bxh6+ is an in between move that wins a piece. and 14. Bxg7 doesn't work because of 14...Qxg5+ Happy Tactics! Your Friend,
