   Some news and notes:
  • This weekend is the Denver Open.  WIM Mariam Danelia is a special guest for the weekend!  She will be giving a lecture and simul on Friday night.

From the DCC website: "Originally from Georgia, Mariam is now a finance student at University of Texas at Dallas. She boasts a USCF rating of 2370 and a FIDE rating of 2283. She earned her Woman International Master title in 2008"

I am going to be playing in both the simul and Denver Open.  Should be a great event!  See details here:  https://www.denverchess.com/tournaments/tla/denveropen2016simul
