   Congrats to Griffin McConnell of Broomfield Colorado, who recently competed in the 1st World Junior Chess Championship for the Disabled!

   The tournament was held in Orlando, Florida, USA from June 22-29, 2017.

   The FIDE Chess for the Disabled Commission created this tournament to support all children with any disability in one competitive event in order to bring awareness to the abilities of all.

   There were players from Paraguay, USA, Uganda, Germany, India, Puerto Rico and Belgium.

   Griffin finished in third place and had a great time according to Facebook reports by his parents.

   Great job Griffin!  The Colorado Chess community is proud of you!

   Answer:  

   51...c5! threatening 52...c4#.  The only way for White to stop the checkmate is with 52. c4, but this allows 52...Bxa1 losing the rook.
