I know I've been on this business plan soapbox for a while now but its only because I see SO MANY filmmakers failing to get their projects off the ground because they don't have a business plan at all, or have a business plan but its not attracting investors.  If making your film is the goal then the reality is YOU HAVE TO have a film business plan that interests investors in your project.  If you can't interest investors, you can't make the movie (unless, of course, you're using your own money).  That's the cold hard truth and sadly, so many filmmakers think some fairy financing godmother is going to show up on their doorstep and hand them the money to make their film.  Not gonna happen!  

 

Let's face it ... there are thousands of filmmakers out there trying to find the money to make their movie.  Without a plan you're dead in the water.  And without a good plan, you're just as dead.
