Children love the thought that humans, plants and animals are alsopart of the hydrosphere! All living systems are fluid, dynamic, interdependent and integrated! How do we 'teach' in a way that best reflects that??? That's the premise of arts integrated education. If you want to teach the water cycle, be it! Turn your classroom into a living research theater! The spring of knowledge will not be found in textbooks and worksheets. Knowledge springs from our connections to the natural worlds. Real science is a dynamic process. You can't stop life to study it. It begins in our own 'headwaters' as educators. Learning is simply NOT a static process. Learning itself is a living, fluid process! Water has much to teach us.
