TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE
"We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world... We are all meant to shine... And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same."

                                     ~ Marianne Williamson

You may be familiar with this popular Marianne Williamson quote. (Yes, I've posted it here in the past.)

I'm sharing the full passage later today with a new friend whose son, according to her, is afraid to shine. As I prepared it for her, I felt prompted to share it again here with you.

It seems to me that at times, we are all afraid to shine. I know that I am. At times we practice a false humility in part because we may have been taught that it is virtuous to be small.

Today, let's be humble in a way that is not false or small. Let's be humble in a way that recognizes that we have all been gifted with a spark of the Divine.  May we let our greatness shine and give thanks to Our Source.

With reverence and joy,
Charlene
