"Over and over I marvel at the blessings in my life."
~ Lawrence Welk
This is a day for marveling with gratitude. Ideally, we will do this in a very real and sincere way this Thanksgiving day and every day.
Sometimes, however, in the midst of preparations for holiday celebrations, stress blocks the flow of joy. Or, we may be spending this day apart from family or friends in a non-traditional way, with disappointment.
With compassion for however we are
experiencing this day, may we pause and let pure gratitude for at least one thing come forth from our hearts.
Often, one small gratitude makes way for more and more thankfulness to rise...perhaps for family, friends, the food that sustains us, home, healings that have happened, healings hoped for, the work that we are doing or seeking, our dreams, our senses, the beauty of nature...
Despite present challenges, there is so much to be grateful
for.
If we still feel blocked by hurt or anxiety, we can express, with faith and hope, appreciation for this once-in-all-eternity day and for life itself.
May we marvel at the blessing of being here.
With love,
Charlene
PS - Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to all, whether or not you live in the U.S.A. which designates this day as Thanksgiving.
