"Sometimes we must try to view the actions of those around us with forgiveness. We must realize that they are going on the only road they see. Sometimes we cannot raise our chins
and see eye to eye, so we bow our heads..."
~ Lisa Wingate
Instead of judging others as dumb or demonic because their ways are different than ours, we can apply an attitude of acceptance and forgiveness. When we don't see eye to eye, instead of waging a war of words,
we can bow our heads and honor their life lessons, pray for guidance, and trust that with divine order and grace, something good will emerge. We can also try to understand their perspective and ask them to grasp ours.
Another quote comes to mind. Consider this one from the poet Rumi:
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you
there."
Let's drop our judgments and see one another with respect, compassion and interest. When we do, we'll move into the place of peace and joy within us. Maybe that's the location of Rumi's beautiful field. I'd like to meet you all there.
In love and with hope,
Charlene
