TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"You once told me
You wanted to save
The world from all its wars -
And I told you to
First save yourself
From the world,
And all the wars
You put yourself
Through."

~ Suzy Kassem

Oh, what we put ourselves through at times. So much worry. So much warring.

I feel as if Suzy is speaking to me here. Does what she says resonate within you?

Don't we all want to save the world in some way? Or, we want to see it saved by others? Isn't there someone who can? we ask.

Yes, there is. You and me.

Today, may we act.

Little by little, day by day, may we make peace within ourselves. May we reclaim the pure loving, the joy, the wonderment, the non-judgmentalness, and the natural caring we had as children.

Paraphrasing from The Twelve Gifts of Birth...

May we be gentle with ourselves and others. May we forgive those who hurt us and ourselves when we make mistakes.

Joy to the world.

Joy to you and me,
Charlene
