"To be afraid and to be brave is the best kind of courage of all."
~ Alice Dalgliesh
What feels like the "best kind of courage" to you?
Is it the courage that comes easily or the courage that comes in the most difficult and frightening
circumstances?
In what situations do you generally need courage?
Is it to to be yourself? To show emotion? To speak up and give your perspective when others see things differently? To speak up when others are gossiping or being prejudiced? To speak in public? To say yes? No? Is it in
storms? Facing illness. Being alone? Being in crowds? Meeting new people? Having to find a new job? Admitting a wrong?
Today, let's notice all the times when courage is used by us in both small and large ways.
May this activity increase our ability to recognize our gift of courage and
our readiness to call upon it in all times of need.
With faith,
Charlene
