"The truth is that our finest moments are likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such
moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers."
~ M. Scott Peck
Times of discomfort certainly hold great promise and potential for us. But it seems to me that the "finest moments" are actually
in the minutes, hours, weeks - maybe even years - after the times we are uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. Our finest moments are in our responses, when we use our gifts and our wits to step out of our ruts and leap forward toward growth, joy, and fulfillment.
There is so much potential for us both in the ruts and out of them. Today, whatever our circumstances, let's choose wisely and well, looking toward our highest good and leaning in to it.
Maybe leaping.
With faith,
Charlene
