"To be more childlike, you don't have to give up being an adult. The fully integrated person is capable of being both an adult and a child simultaneously. Recapture the childlike feelings of wide-eyed excitement, spontaneous appreciation, cutting loose, and being full of awe and wonder at this magnificent universe."
~ Wayne Dyer
It would benefit us greatly if we would all become more childlike.
I wish we would renew the wonder we once readily experienced. It's not gone, lost, or dead. Wonder is still there within us. Yes, it may be buried under wounds and worries and dormant from disuse. But we can
uncover and awaken it with love, intention, and activities that stir and nurture it.
We each have to find the specific activities will work for us. Wonder is related to reverence, gratitude, joy, love, beauty - all the gifts, really. So, nurturing any one of your gifts with begin to lift the weight off wonder. Do what stirs your joy. Immerse yourself in beauty. Play. Rest. Pray. Listen. Do something you have never done
before.
What especially delighted you as a child? Do some of those things. For example, find and play songs you loved when you were eight and younger. One I have used to get in touch with my inner eight-year-old is Little Star by the Elegants. If you'd like to hear it, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww181bzE7Fg
Wishing you wonder and joy,
Charlene
