“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
~ Rumi
Grudges, regrets, resentments, self-righteousness
indignation...these are among the barriers that cover and block the love that is naturally present in us.
Let's consider Nelson Mandela and how, after his release, he embraced his freedom with gratitude and joy, without holding bitterness toward those who imprisoned him.
Consider the Amish community of Nickel Mines. When a deranged gunman shot ten young girls in their community schoolhouse, killing five, the Amish immediately forgave him. They even visited that man's family and prayed with them and for them.
Consider Jesus who said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do."
Often, perhaps always, when we hurt one another, on some level we do not know; we do not understand the
implications. Perhaps when we hurt one another, our vision is blinded, our loving is blocked, our wisdom too.
Instead of holding hate in our hearts for any hurts we have experienced - for our own health, happiness, and well-being - let's aim to let the blockages go so that wondrous healing love can flow through us.
Let's ask for help.
With prayers,
Charlene

------------------------
May you allow fear to
soften and melt away.
May you release all regrets and resentments.
May you see the world with wonder.
And may you imagine only good things.
May hope rise within you.
May peace wash over you.
May you hear the voice of wisdom.
Listening may you act with trust.
May your heart open.
May joy emerge.
May love flow through you.
May you heal and help others.
