“I look around at my animals, the trees, the grass and sun and I feel pretty certain they don't operate with an inner "should" boss."
~ Angela
Howell
When I read this in Angela's book, Finding the Gift, I smiled.
I've often heard the expressions Don't should on yourself and Don't should on others. You probably have too.
Well, I'm
getting better, but I admit that I still sometimes "should" on myself and others.
I appreciate Angela's light and loving approach to becoming more aware of the "shoulding" habit and to letting it go.
Today's aim is seemingly* simple:
May Angela's quote and nature's beautiful beingness inspire us to refrain from
"shoulding" and to practice acceptance.
With loving kindness,
Charlene
PS - I suspect this may not be as simple as it seems. May we be especially mindful and notice when we are about to "should" about something. I'd love to
hear about your experience with this.

COMPASSION: May you be gentle with yourself and others. May you forgive those who hurt you and yourself when you make mistakes.
