"Never worry alone. When anxiety grabs my mind, it is self-perpetuating. Worrisome thoughts reproduce faster than rabbits, so one of the most
powerful ways to stop a spiral of worry is simply to disclose my worry to a friend."
~ John Ortberg, Jr.
Shared sorrow is sorrow halved; shared joy is joy doubled the proverbs say. Sharing can also help us move from worry to calm and from fear to hope. Let's share with one another authentically and listen with care and
compassion. For sure, let's not get stuck in worry.
It serves no good and the stress of it is harmful to health and well-being.
With faith, love, and first-hand experience,

PS - My touchstone reflections have been getting longer lately. My goal at the start was to keep them short and I'll be aiming for that again. But some days, like today, when
there's more I'd like to share, I'll post the further thoughts in a post script like this.
You may recall that I offer a few activities to consider when you are feeling fear.
There's holding an ice cube and acknowledging our fear, feeling the sensations of the ice in the palm of a hand and the physical sensations of fear in our bodies, and summoning love and compassion for ourselves. Then we place the ice
cube in a container with the intention of allowing our fears to melt away and be transformed just as the ice will melt and become water. I like to bless that melted ice water and use it to nourish a plant.
Another activity is blowing bubbles outdoors. Intend to draw up all the tight, fearful energy and release it in an out breath that fills the bubbles, which
float away and pop.
There is also the practice of simply carrying and holding a mustard seed as we aim to trust that all will be well and that something good is unfolding...with hope and faith.
