"Always do your best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret."
~ Miguel Angel Ruiz
I hear two main take-aways from this quote. Perhaps even more important and powerful than the clear counsel to always "do our best" is to recognize that "our best" varies a lot.
I didn't sleep well last night. For sure my best today
is different than when I am well rested.
Today, along with intending to stretch to our best, may we love our humanness, the breadth, the depth, and the width of who we are, what we experience, and how we are responding to life in every moment. May we appreciate others in this way too.
With compassion,
Charlene
