“When you are looking at a mountain, marveling at its beauty and strength, realize that it is looking right back and admiring you."
~ Dodinsky
I like the
notion that the mountains, the trees, the seas - all the wondrous forms of creation - admire us just as we admire them.
It's possible. There's so much we don't yet know about consciousness. In fact, recent studies are showing that plants sense and respond to the energy and intentions of their caregivers. Perhaps that explains the "green thumb."
This we do
know:
We would not recognize beauty
in the mountains, the trees, the seas,
and in other people, too,
if beauty did not exist in us.
Throughout this day,
every time and everywhere
we notice beauty
let's pause and consider
that the beauty we see
is a reflection of the beauty
within us.
Not in the same form.
Not in an exact likeness.
Yet mirrored all the same.
Closing with a prayer,
Charlene
As I Walk with Beauty
~ A Navajo Prayer
"As I walk, as I walk
The universe is walking with me
In beauty it walks before me
In beauty it walks behind me
In beauty it walks below me
In beauty it walks above
me
Beauty is on every side
As I walk, I walk with Beauty."
