But there's more that is wondrous.
Have you ever perceived nature's subtle peace? Its wisdom? Joy?
Osho claims, "Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers...It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are."
What does this have to do with us and Living The Twelve Gifts?
"There are rich counsels in the trees," said Herbert P. Horne.
And, "trees do not preach," wrote Herman Hesse.
Trees show us the timeless laws of life. They wordlessly guide us.
Before writing this I happened to hear the Lee Ann Womack song, "I Hope You Dance."
You may recall that it begins: "I hope you never lose your sense of wonder."
Too many of us do lose our sense of wonder.
Forests and gardens can help us find wonder again and lead us toward living in it.
Let's live in hope, love, and peace, too.
With joy,
Charlene
