TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings."

                                ~ Anais Nin

It dies of stubbornness and self-righteousness too. And neglect.

"The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference," said Elie Wiesel.

Let's look at our most significant relationships today, those with family and friends, our beloveds.

Have we become indifferent in any? Are we taking someone for granted?

So many of us forget that love needs tending, care, nurturing. Celebrating too.

Perhaps what we first need to do is clear away all that covers love, as Rumi said, more poetically than that. Perhaps a hurt needs to be healed. Perhaps we need to say "I'm sorry." or "I forgive."

Let's begin spring cleaning today, starting with our hearts!

With loving kindness,
Charlene
